John Bell - Chairman

Mr. Bell is the Chairman of The Onbelay Group of Companies, a Cambridge based Private Equity Corporation with investments in Automotive, Telematics and Technology. In 2007 Bell participated in a successful proxy fight that replaced the board at ATS Automation Tooling Systems acted as temporary CEO and was successful beginning a reorganization that has added significant shareholder value. Prior to that, he was CEO and owner of Polymer Technologies Inc., a company he grew to be a premier global auto parts supplier, which he sold in 2005. Previously, he was the founder of Shred-Tech Limited which he started in 1977 and sold in 1995.

Bell sits on the board of ATS (TSE-ATA), Newport Partners Income Fund (TSE-NPF.UN) (Audit Chair), BSM Technologies Inc. (TSE-GPS). He is Chairman of Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bell is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, and a graduate of the University of Western Ontario School of Business Administration (Ivey).

Aly Rahemtulla - CEO

Aly Rahemtalla was the President of Onbelay Automotive Coatings Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Onbelay Partners Limited ("OPL"). Prior to forming OPL, Mr. Rahemtalla was a consultant with the global management consulting firm of A.T. Kearney Limited providing direction on corporate strategy to Fortune 100 Corporations. Prior to that he operated his own consulting firm called ANR Solutions Inc.

Nick Cirella - Board Member

Mr. Cirella is an extremely dedicated and insightful entrepreneurial businessman. Mr. Cirella has been involved in the commodity business for over 30 years, 15 of which has been in the computer industry. Under his guidance and vision, AIG was grown into a $233,000,000 international conglomerate with offices in Canada, the United States and Europe.

Mr. Cirella has strong community involvement, supporting numerous charitable organizations through the provision of his time and donations. His business and community achievements have been recently recognized with the investiture by the Governor General of Canada, of Mr. Cirella as a Serving Brother of St. John ("SBSJ").

Frank Maw - Board Member

Frank Maw was the Chairman of Netistix Technologies Corporation which was acquired by BSM Technologies Inc. in December 2007. Frank's experience includes senior sales and marketing roles in consumer products, followed by senior management positions in both the wireline and wireless telecommunications industries. He retired as President, Motorola Canada Limited in 2005. Previously he was V.P., General Manager of Motorola's Personal Communications Sector in Canada. Frank has served as Chairman of ITAC, director on The Toronto Board of Trade, Chairman of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association and President of the original Paging Services Council of Canada.

Frank's charitable work has included the Campaign Boards of the United Way of Peel and York Regions and on the York Region YMCA Capital Campaign Board. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.

Garry West - Board Member

Garry West is a Fellow Chartered Accountant.  In his client practice with Ernst & Young LLP, Garry provided audit, accounting and related services to clients in the fields of technology, communications, manufacturing, and service businesses.  He worked extensively in developing strategic plans for entrepreneurial clients, assisting clients negotiate acquisition or divestiture transactions, and assisting international clients of the firm to start-up Canadian subsidiary operations.

Garry’s client base included the largest public company in Southwestern Ontario (SEC registrant).  This company files its financial statements in US GAAP and has filed under Sarbanes Oxley 404 legislation.  Garry’s former client base also included a large private manufacturing company that uses International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Garry obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, became a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).  His many charitable and not-for-profit activities have in included Treasurer of Cambridge Memorial Hospital and President of the Royal Canadian Golf Association.

Fred Marsh - Corporate Secretary

Fred Marsh was CFO and Corporate Secretary of Netistix Technologies Corporation which was acquired by BSM Technologies in December 2007.  Prior to Netistix, he was a Board Director and Vice President, Corporate Affairs of Digital Fairway Corporation, a telecom OSS company, and Accredo Systems Corporation, a middleware technology company, where he was a Founder, Vice President Corporate Affairs and then President. His previous international work included establishing foreign joint ventures and marketing for private sector companies, senior management at EDC and a Diplomatic posting in Washington for liaison with the World Bank and other international financial institutions.

 

Fred has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a master’s degree in Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo. Amongst other studies, he completed the AMP business program at INSEAD, the Canadian Securities Course (CSS) and Registered Representative exams.
